Uniting the world through prayer
I pray for my family to be healthy and for the health of the whole group (Tiwasunge). We first were in fear [of having HIV] but now no problem. Praise God! And I ask for long life to take care of my kids since my husband died. Bless our business. I also ask for strength.
For my family—as of now I have 1 child and two grandchildren. I am being kept by my old mother. I am asking God to continue to give us needs and necessities. God should continue to give me strength to work and help myself.
For The United Methodist Church, that the Lord will continue to love us.
My prayer is for family. I pray that God should give me a house. When I was very sick, Tiwasunge took care of me. I ask God to continue guiding them. As I'm still strong, I ask God to give me capital so I can relieve the burden on Tiwasunge because I have 7 kids. I pray that God should bless Tiwasunge.
Dear God,
You created Kenya, a nation rich in natural and cultural beauty and diversity. From the deserts to the highlands to the coasts, you have gifted the world with a truly majestic land, teaming with life. You also gave Kenya beloved children, whether Luo, Kikuyu, Masai, Indian, Arab or any other nation of people. I thank you for the gift of this country.
Thank God for Tiwasunge. When I came they welcomed me freely. Now I have hope, joy, happiness and family with all my children because when I come here we share and help one another. Give us more blessing. Continue to give blessing and that others will reveal their [HIV] status and come to our group. Continue to pray for us so we don't have worries. Thanks for the director and Tiwasunge and those who come from far-God bless you.
Lord, our vision is so finite. With these human eyes, we look at our reflections and spew harsh judgments. We speak ill of our appearance, our personalities, our abilities, the fruits of our production, and the list is tireless. Even knowing that we are made in your image, and you have called us good, we turn deaf ears to your voice and hear only the voices of the world throw critiques at us. We throw critiques at ourselves.
My prayer is that my family should have sufficient things. The roof of our house is not in good condition. I'm praying that God will do a miracle to improve our house. Bless us to continue loving one another―that everything we do be guided by love. The United Methodist Church has done miraculous things we didn't expect when we started [Tiwasunge] in 2003. Now we have food. So we are asking God to see the role The UMC is playing and that they continue.
For my family, I thank God for life and taking care of family. I'm also praying for leaders of Tiwasunge because without them allowing visitors we would not have received helpful opportunities and rings. For Malawi, we have peace, and I thank God for peace. I'm praying for doctors to have vision that HIV/AIDS disease will end. And for whole world, I pray that there should be peace because without peace nothing can progress. The whole world should have peace.
For my family—that my children should be respectful and guided by God and God-fearing.
I am thankful for Tiwasunge—for leaders with vision who try to look for food.
Thank God for Malawi, and I also ask God to make leaders who honor God and have a mind of God.
For doctors that they give us the right drugs so that we will be healed.
Pray for peace in Africa.
I pray for peace throughout the world. In Africa. In Haiti. In myself.
